What this is
- A first look at the NFL spread model, built on real play-by-play data.
- It uses how good each team is on offense AND on defense (real EPA per play).
- The edge numbers are shrunk toward 50/50 and capped at 6% on purpose, because the model is young.
- If we do not have solid defense data for a game, we say "not yet modeled" instead of guessing.
What this is NOT
- NOT a proven, tested edge. It has no track record yet.
- NOT a bet recommendation. Do not stake money based on these numbers.
- NOT part of the MLB engine. It never touches MLB picks, capital, or grades.
- NOT final. The model will keep improving before it is ever trusted for real.

This is the NFL preview model's honest scorecard, graded only on games that have actually finished. It is un-backtested and has no proven edge yet. Until enough games settle it will say so plainly instead of showing a made-up number. It is completely separate from the MLB engine - no MLB picks, capital, or grades are involved.
